Volunteer Schedule and Project List

You are invited to join the 2017 Youth Volunteer Programs offered by Willow Park Ecology Centre.

Youth Volunteer Mentorship – starts Tuesday May 2nd from 4:00-6:00 pm, and continues every Tuesday and Thursday until June 8th. And then runs in the fall from mid-September to late-October. See list on the volunteer registration form. We will care for the nature park’s trail system, habitat areas by invasive species removal and plantings, garden beds and special projects as they arise. We will prepare the park for our season of events – our 2017 theme is Wild Canada!

Summer Youth/Adult Program – every Wednesday in July and August from 9:00-3:00 pm you will have a chance to help with park stewardship and Hungry Hollow restoration projects alongside the Credit Valley Conservation Youth Core crew. See event list on the volunteer registration form.

Event Volunteers- See event list on the volunteer registration form. Help run activities, setup and walking tours, in some cases we require help with preparing signs and promo materials ahead of time.

Hungry Hollow Restoration Project Volunteers – We are leading the 7-member collaborative to improve habitat along Silver Creek upstream of Willow Park Ecology Centre. Our project helps conserve habitat in the Centre for Biodiversity known as Credit River and Hungry Hollow.  There will be special project volunteer days involving stewardship in Hungry Hollow, displays at public events and planning activities. Email tunde@willowparkecology.ca to sign up.
